As a parent of two motivated SSM hockey players, I was looking for a summer development program that would challenge my kids. I took some advice from a close friend and visited Total Hockey in Lakeville. Now that it's four months later, I would like to say "Thank You, Kirk and your incredible staff." Total Hockey not only coaches and trains players,but builds character and strong work ethic. My kids are more motivated than ever to continue to work hard and build on the tremendous base that you and your staff instilled in them. Thomas has enjoyed this summer very much and improved a lot. As a parent I know you can not personally work with every player – I appreciate the fact that you seemed to have surrounded yourself with a nice group of young kids (guys & the gals) to help out. Thomas really liked Libby, Eric, Kyle, Tory, Skylar, Sidney and honestly all of the coaches. Frankly, I don’t know all of them – I just know they are polite and acknowledging to parents and very good with the kids.

Thank you again for allowing me to join your workouts for my week in Minnesota. It was a good learning experience for me that I am going to take advantage of the rest of this summer, especially the SAQ drills that we did. I appreciate you pushing me hard and teaching me how to become a better hockey player. Enjoy your Blue Moons and the rest of your summer.

Had a very good day today.

Toured Brown University with their hockey coach the first half of the day. They expressed interest in Truman, told us they don't normally make any offers or commitments to kids as young as Truman, and then went on to tell us that they knew there was interest in Truman and that if he had any offers that they would appreciate us giving them a call before making a decision.

After that we drove to New York and met with the hockey coaches at Union College. One of the Asst Coaches gave us a tour of the rink and then took us to the head coaches office. The head coach was very matter of fact and told Truman that they wanted him to be part of their program. He told us that he has never made an offer or commitment to a sophmore ever in his career, that Truman was going to be his first. He made the offer and then was very respectful in not immediately pushing for a decision. He told Truman to think about it and give him a call. The one Asst Coach has been tracking Truman for the past three years and was extremely complimentary of the progress he has made with his skating.

Again, it was a great day and to a large degree would not have been possible withoit you. Thank you, thank you and thanks some more.

I wanted to thank you, Travis, Eric and the other for the great experience and the skills you all taught Blake during IHT over the last 6 months. IHT was probably a little over his head and he was not your most talented player but he really enjoyed it, learned a lot and definitely improved.

Tryouts are now complete and he landed at that top of the Bantam B team. I asked him the other day if he was ready for the "season" to begin, he said yes. I asked him if he was burned out; he said no - which I was very happy to hear.

Thanks again to all; you have a great program and you are all wonderful with the "players".

Kirk and the IHT Training Team

I am writing to just say thank you to you and your team..My son Clint has been with you now for about 3 months and he has made tremendous strides in strength and confidence in the game of hockey.He really enjoys coming to train with you guys and can see the success that he is getting from the training..Clint's speed,strength,on ice abilities and confidence have all grown since he has been with your team..Clint and I thank you very much and we will continue with your programs in the future for sure...Have a super week and keep up the great training..
